CHIEF INSTRUCTOR

Mr. Josh Saper, BS

Mr. Saper graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Business Management with a minor in Psychology from Rutgers University.

In 2002 Mr. Saper established Black Belt Academy,  as the successor to a former owner.  Mr. Saper, chief instructor and owner was determined to make the academy a well known program in the area.  His vision was to develop a training program that would incorporate the benefits of a true mixed martial arts or a multiple discipline training style. In doing so he was able to train a more well-rounded martial artist that not only has multiple tools for defense but also multiple applications for what they have learned.

Mr. Saper has over 20 years of Martial Arts training, and holds multiple rankings in different disciplines. Disciplines include Tae Kwon Do, MMA, Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, Hapkido, Kung Fu, Kali,  Submission Fighting, Jiu-jitsu, Judo and more.  He has and continues to compete in these disciplines as well. 

As Black Belt Academy grew in size he began offering other programs and eventually the  academy became what is now know as Choice Martial Arts.

For the past several years Mr. Saper has  introduced the benefits of quality martial arts and boxing  training to both families and individuals in our area.  In addition to providing a state of the art training facility, he also tries to be a leader while giving back to our community.  Mr. Saper provides consulting for families with special needs children, instructs and lectures at regional school districts, provides  continuing education for teachers, instructs and lectures at local colleges, has trained both amateur and pro fighters, promotes USA Boxing events,   provides cross-training for professional athletes, trains local, state and regional law enforcement, provides security services for local businesses, has formerly served as treasurer for Big Brother Big  Sisters of Burlington Co., hosts multiple annual fundraisers for local and national charities non-profits and continues to be a leader in our community in any way possible.
