Debbie and her family has been involved with martial arts for many years.  Two of her three children are already black belts.  Her husband, Josh Saper, is the owner of Choice Martial Arts Academy in Marlton, NJ.  Choice Martial Arts Academy is a service provider for Easter Seals and Real Life Choices.  Through these and other programs, Debbie works with many special needs students. Coordination, self-defense, balance, control, and exercise are just some of the focus of the private classes offered to individuals with specific concerns.  Debbie and Josh work together to provide group workshops for special needs groups.  Topics include teamwork; self-defense; leadership; bullying; and community advocacy.      We have developed a curriculum to support other martial arts schools in how to best work with special needs individuals to help them reach their fullest potential.  Schools recognize that it does require special training to facilitate the needs of differently gifted individuals.
